Tools are the parts of the workspace: invoices, documents, signatures, forms, bookings, contacts, matters, time, approvals and more. See tools.

Apps are larger jobs with their own screens: Nabcloud Sites, Nabcloud Video, Prompt Verse, Careers, Author, Facecast, Community and others. They share one login, one memory and your permissions. See apps.
