## Jobs

A job is one piece of work for one customer. It moves through a pipeline for repair, craftsman, cleaning or project work, and only the allowed moves are accepted. Numbers run 2026-0001, 2026-0002 and so on, per business.

- Write an estimate and send it as a link. The customer accepts or declines with a typed name; no account is needed.
- A deposit takes a percentage of the accepted estimate, one line per VAT rate. The final invoice deducts it.
- A job holds a checklist, photos, notes, time and the parts used. A part taken from a stock item leaves the stock in the same step.
- A job can repeat on a schedule, and a customer's thing, such as a bike, can be recorded.

Money is kept in whole cents, VAT included. The invoice is drafted by the job and issued in the workspace, where the email waits in [approvals](/docs/approvals/).

## Team and the clock

The team tool holds people, shifts, weekly templates, time off and the clock. A week can be drafted from the templates and published; each person receives only their own shifts. Crew have no workspace seat. They sign in to the business's web app, clock in and see their shifts and jobs. Hours export as CSV for the payroll office.

> [!WARNING]
> Break and rest rules come back as warnings, never as blocks, and they are not legal advice. Payroll is out of scope.

## Tickets

Questions, complaints and returns become numbered tickets. Each priority has a reply-by time, internal notes are never shown to the customer, a resolved ticket asks for a rating, and a customer's reply reopens it within 14 days.
